Our Vocational School's Social Work and Counseling Program students are carrying out a meaningful social responsibility and field application in coordination and collaboration with the daily hot meal distribution service conducted by Çavdır Municipality.

In this application planned within the scope of the “Social Work with the Elderly” and “Volunteering Activities” courses, our students visit elderly individuals living alone every day in rotation throughout the spring semester, contributing not only to the delivery of basic services but also to social support, communication, psychosocial well-being, and strengthening social solidarity.

During the visits, our students have the opportunity to observe the social needs of elderly individuals on-site, establish effective communication, recognize social support mechanisms, and develop professional awareness towards disadvantaged groups. In this aspect, the application strengthens students' professional knowledge, skills, and social responsibility capacities by integrating theoretical course content with field experience.

Our program supports our students in experiencing individual, family, and community-based social service applications in the field through such collaborations developed with local governments; it encourages human-centered approaches that strengthen the participation of elderly individuals in social life.
