About MEDEK
The first steps of MEDEK were taken with the support and encouragement of the Higher Education Council (YÖK) to contribute to the qualified workforce within the framework of Turkey's strategic development plans, aimed at improving the qualifications of Vocational Schools and their graduates. With this motivation and the support of universities, the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK) was established in 2021. The association received accreditation authority from the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) in 2023 for 83 Vocational School programs to ensure the evaluation of compliance with established standards, quality criteria, and performance metrics.
