Our Vocational School Students Participated in the "New Approaches to Combating Addiction in Higher Education Institutions Workshop"

Hosted by our university, the “New Approaches to Combating Addiction in Higher Education Institutions Workshop” was held with the broad participation of academics, experts, and students. Organized by our university's Addiction Combat Coordination, in collaboration with the Yeşilay Community and under the University Student Communities Cooperation and Support Program (ÜNİDES) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, our Vocational School students also participated in the workshop.

Throughout the day, informative presentations were made by expert academics on the risks and protective factors of addictions, addiction risks among university youth, psychological resilience, the protective role of physical activity, and issues related to alcohol and substance use.

In the afternoon sessions, thematic group studies involving participants from different disciplines were organized. 

The workshop strengthened the understanding that combating addiction is not only an individual responsibility but also a shared responsibility of educational institutions, public organizations, and youth, while providing an important experience in terms of increasing students' awareness levels and active participation in social contribution processes.
