Welcome to our university.
We congratulate you for choosing our university for your higher education and wish you continued success.
Students who have the right to register at our university according to the results of the 2026 YKS Additional Placement can register electronically with their e-Government passwords or, if they wish, can come to our university to complete their registration in person.
REGISTRATION DATES
- Electronic Registrations: Registrations will be made by logging in to www.turkiye.gov.tr with e-Government passwords between October 2-4, 2026, from the Higher Education Council Presidency section.
- In-Person Registrations: They will be able to complete their registration in person by coming to our university between October 2-9, 2026.
No documents will be requested from our students who complete their registration via e-Government.
>Students who complete their registration via e-Government do not need to apply to our university for their registration processes.
* Candidates who do not register between the specified dates cannot claim any rights. Candidates who do not complete their registration processes on the relevant dates will lose their registration rights.
The day after the registration process, you can log in to the Student Information System (OBS) at net.mehmetakif.edu.tr/welcome with your e-Government password. You can obtain a Student Document via e-Government.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR IN-PERSON REGISTRATION
1- Original of the T.C. Identity card (Must be kept with the candidate.)
2- Original or certified copy of the diploma obtained from the secondary education institution the candidate graduated from or a newly dated graduation certificate
INFORMATION RELATED TO IN-PERSON REGISTRATION
a- Candidates must apply in person for registration. Registration cannot be done by mail.
b- Uncertified copies or photocopies of the requested documents for registration are not accepted.
c- If documents are missing, registration will not be made.
ç- Candidates who do not register between the specified dates cannot claim any rights.
d- Higher education institutions may request a health board report from candidates who will register if it is stated in the conditions and explanations of the program. If it is not stated in the conditions and explanations of the program, a health board report cannot be requested.
e- Universities are authorized to take necessary legal actions against candidates who register by making false declarations.
Since you cannot be registered in two formal associate or two bachelor's programs at the same time, candidates in this situation must terminate their relationship with the program they are registered in to register for the program they have won.
Candidates who have the right to register for a higher education program but are at the graduation stage in secondary education institutions, associate degree programs, or bachelor's programs and will take an internship, make-up, or single course exam will also have their temporary registrations made at higher education institutions on the specified dates. If these candidates present their documents proving their graduation to the higher education institution by December 31, 2026, the main registrations of candidates placed in a higher education institution from Open Education High Schools will be made if they present their documents proving their graduation to the higher education institution by January 29, 2027. Those who do not document their graduation by this date will have their temporary registrations canceled, and candidates who do not register temporarily on the specified dates will not be registered.

COURSE REGISTRATION PROCESSES
Since education has started at our university, you can register for your courses by applying in person to the student affairs of the unit you are registered in.

MILITARY STATUS
To be applied for candidates who fit one of the following paragraphs;
a) Those who have lost the right to postpone their military service according to the provisions of the Military Service Law No. 7179 and the principle orders published by the Ministry of National Defense on this matter,
b) Those who have completed a two or three-year higher education program and wish to enter another higher education program of less than four years and have not completed their military service (Candidates who have graduated from a two or three-year higher education program and have not completed their military service can apply to 2026-YKS to enter a four-year or longer higher education program.),
c) Those who have completed a higher education program of four years or more and have not completed their military service,
If these candidates are placed in any higher education program as a result of 2026-YKS, their registrations will be made. However, if the military service of candidates in this situation has been postponed, they will be able to continue their education in the program they have gained the right to register until the end of their military postponement period, and since they will lose their right to postpone military service when the postponement period expires, the registrations of candidates in this situation will be frozen, and they will be able to continue their education after completing their military service.
