Due to the intense demand from our students; a change has been made to the midterm exam dates of the Spring Semester of the 2018-2019 Academic Calendar by the decision of our University Senate dated 22.02.2019 and numbered 348/1.
The midterm exam dates for the Spring Semester of the 2018-2019 Academic Year have been changed to March 23-29, 2019 and the revised academic calendars have been published on our university's website.
About the Midterm Exam for Distance Education Courses:
As is known, the course "Atatürk Principles and Revolution History" and the course "Turkish Language" are conducted through distance education methods within our department. According to the senate decision, it has been decided that the midterm exams for these courses will be conducted online (in an electronic environment). A meeting has been held with the Department Chair of Atatürk Principles and Revolution History and the Department Chair of Turkish Language, and the midterm exam schedule has been determined in the decisions taken after the meeting. According to the decisions made;
- The midterm exams for these two courses will be held on the same day.
- For both courses, the exams will be activated in the Distance Education Management System at 09:00, and the system will be closed at 22:00 on the same day.
- Students can enter the system at any time during the specified time frame to take their exams.
- Once the exam starts, the "exam duration" begins. After the designated exam duration has passed, the exam ends.
- If a student cannot take the exam due to an excuse on the exam day, they should apply to the management of the Academic Unit for their excuse, and if the management deems it appropriate, a "Make-up Exam" will be conducted for the student.
The Academic Unit must inform our Center about the students who will take the Make-up Exam. For this, it is sufficient to send an email to uzem@mehmetakif.edu.tr from the academic unit's email address with the information of the student whose excuse is accepted.
