The Vocational Skills Laboratory and Simulation Room within the Department of Health Care Services Elderly Care Technician Program is a modern application area structured to develop students' professional knowledge and skills. In our laboratory, the aim is to develop a holistic approach to the physical, mental, and social needs of elderly individuals in accordance with the fundamental principles of care services.
This special area, designed for our students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge related to their professions with practical training, aims to equip them with basic skills related to the care processes of elderly and sick individuals while also supporting the development of professional ethics, communication, and awareness of professional responsibility.
In our laboratory, there are many modern equipment such as patient beds, advanced practice mannequins, elderly-sick care mannequins, CPR training sets, urinary catheterization, injection and dressing training mannequins, bed bath application equipment, and blood pressure measurement devices.
