The Occupational Health and Safety Program's ISG Laboratory is designed as a modern and equipped application area where our students can reinforce their theoretical knowledge with real-life scenarios.
In our laboratory, there are personal protective equipment (PPE), fire extinguishing equipment, warning signs and labels, as well as advanced training applications supported by virtual reality (VR) technology. Students have the opportunity to recognize and use PPE such as helmets, protective glasses, work gloves, and masks practically, while also developing skills to identify hazards, determine safe areas, and accurately interpret visual communication in the workplace through warning signs and safety labels. With VR goggles, they safely experience work accident scenarios, emergency drills, and hazardous work environments, increasing their risk awareness and acquiring proper intervention skills.
Our laboratory benefits not only students of the Occupational Health and Safety Program but also academics, researchers at the master's and doctoral levels, and professionals participating in training and applications conducted in collaboration with the private sector.
With modern equipment infrastructure, interactive training methods, and virtual reality support, our ISG Laboratory continues to contribute to the training of qualified human resources in the field of occupational health and safety.
