ECTS:

The educational and teaching objectives and program outcomes of the associate degree programs conducted in our school’s academic units are evaluated within the “Turkey Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ)” and specific field competencies are also taken into account. Educational programs are designed according to the goals set by the TYYÇ developed within the “European Higher Education Area Qualifications Framework.” For example; course credits are based on the student workload derived from the knowledge, skills, and competencies specified in the “Turkey Higher Education Qualifications Framework” and are credited based on the expected workload per program, with educational programs implemented as 30 ECTS per semester. Detailed information about the academic units offering associate degree programs can be accessed at https://obs.mehmetakif.edu.tr/oibs/bologna/ .  The relationship of the programs with TYYÇ can also be accessed at https://obs.mehmetakif.edu.tr/oibs/bologna/ .

In the educational and teaching activities conducted in our school, the design based on student workload is determined by considering YÖKAK and ECTS. In our school, in the calculation of ECTS, 30 ECTS corresponds to 1 semester workload, 60 ECTS corresponds to 1 year workload, and 1 ECTS = 25–30 hours of workload. The educational objectives and program outcomes of the programs are planned to be presented in a measurable way based on the program outcomes that the student will learn during the learning process. In determining the student workload, the in-class and out-of-class studies and exams related to the course that the student undertakes to achieve the targeted learning outcomes are taken into account. The ECTS determined based on the workload are publicly announced under the name “ECTS Information Package” on our university's official website at https://obs.mehmetakif.edu.tr/oibs/bologna/ in the subheadings related to our school’s academic units.

Our school continues its European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) studies in all academic units (https://obs.mehmetakif.edu.tr/oibs/bologna/). Additionally, our school contributes to student learning mobility through the national and international protocols it has established.
